Biila changes its name to Flovi and acquires Saka's logistics operations
"Now, for the first time, large car dealerships can outsource all their hauls to one operator"
In a first of its kind in the Finnish car logistics industry, Flovi (formerly Biila) is also launching a new Flovi Complete service which allows car dealers to outsource all their car relocations to Flovi. With its new name, brand and supply of services, the Finnish company aims to become the number one choice for car relocations in Northern and Western Europe. In 2025, the company aims to have a turnover of around €20 million.
Flovi Oy, a company that connects drivers who need to relocate cars with drivers who do them, makes a strategic business acquisition by buying the entire haulage logistics operations of the car dealership Saka. As a result of the transaction, around 100 Saka drivers and two office employees will transfer to Flovi as existing employees with the same working terms and conditions. In the past, all Flovi’s drivers have been freelancers.
With the acquisition, Saka will also outsource all its haul logistics to Flovi. The acquisition will strengthen Flovi's market-leading position in platform-based auto logistics in Finland and supports the company's international growth opportunities.
"In ten years, Saka has grown to become one of the largest used car dealers and a pioneer in the industry. The acquisition of the haul logistics business and the cooperation with Flovi will enable us to better focus on our core business and accelerate its development," says Saka CEO Petri Poukkula.
With the acquisition, Flovi will also launch the new comprehensive and scalable Flovi Complete logistics solution, which will allow automotive operators to outsource their entire logistics operations to Flovi, in addition to individual car relocations. Flovi's existing local and national driver network, which will be further expanded through the acquisition , combined with the company's AI-based technology, will enable faster, larger and more secure local and national car relocations. The Flovi Complete service guarantees full delivery reliability, i.e. that every haul ordered by customers will be taken care of.
"Car logistics is going through a change – the industry's expectations for speed, reliability and customer experience are constantly growing. We want to meet these high expectations with our unique Flovi Complete service. Thanks to our extended network of drivers, we are able to significantly speed up home deliveries in particular, and the relocation of purchased cars – with high-quality customer service, not forgetting a reasonable price. The deal will also allow our new drivers to become part of a large driver community in a company that places a high value on driver satisfaction," says Flovi CEO Aapeli Kallunki.
At the same time, but not as a result of the acquisition, Biila will be known as Flovi, as the company is rebranding itself as part of its internationalization and growth objectives. Flovi, which currently operates in Finland and Sweden, completed more than 110,000 car relocations last year. In 2025, the company aims to have a turnover of around €20 million euros
"Our goal is to become the number one choice for car relocations in Northern and Western Europe. We believe that buying a car should be as easy as buying a computer online. We want to offer effortless car relocation services with the best combination of speed and price, which means a car can be delivered to the customer in as little as a day," Kallunki continues.
