Driving Biila gigs has fitted perfectly between the different phases of Juho's life

Juho Bäckman first heard about Biila from a friend and was not initially convinced that one could make money relocating cars. The idea stuck with Juho, and after finishing high school, he had to wait about six months before his military service. At this point, Juho decided to make the most of the time and give Biila a chance.

The first gigs in the autumn of 2022 consisted of one-way trips and maintenance pickups within his own city. Once things got running, there were several gigs in one day.

During his military service, Juho had the opportunity to become a military police driver. The job involves transporting commanders of the The Finnish Defence Forces and other senior officers. The post is available to around 5-6 applicants at a time.

Juho feels that during the interview, his experience of working at Biila helped him to stand out from the other applicants.

"The experience of Biila's relocation and what Biila is really sparked a lot of interest on the part of the interviewers."

In general, Juho was pleased that the experience of working for Biila is a positive addition to his CV.

"Being a driver requires an independent work ethic, responsibility and also customer service skills. I recommend every Biila driver to mention this on their resume.”

After completing his military service, Juho was once again faced with a six-month wait, as the next application phase for further education was in spring 2024. As he was preparing for the entrance exams for the Teacher Training College, continuing at Biila fitted Juho's schedule really well once again.

“I like to work on my own schedule and driving is something I find meaningful. I also like trying out different cars and seeing new cities in Finland. All in all, Biila has surprised me with the variety of work!"

Juho has often been asked what his job as a Biila driver is like and what does it take.

"I think the job is a good fit for people who are going through some kind of transition in life. You can work as much or as little as you like. As my tip for new drivers, I'd say that you'll do well if you keep a social and upbeat attitude with your customers and clients. It's also worth chaining your own gigs or checking public transport options to get home."

Typically discussions about Biila end with the question ”Do think I should also have a go?”

Thank you Juho for the nice interview and the whole Biila team wishes you good luck and success in the upcoming entrance exam!
