Europcar’s and Biila’s cooperation offers a wider range of services for motorists

Biila Go, a car relocation service provider, and Europcar, a car rental company, have started a collaboration. Both aim to meet people's changing mobility needs now and in the future.

More and more private and business drivers are looking for a personalized service. People want their rental, courtesy or seasonal cars delivered to their home or holiday house. The collaboration started when, as service needs changed, Europcar needed to find new flexible solutions to meet the increased demand for car relocations.

According to Kimmo Vainio, Europcar's Commercial Director, the average person needs the same car for 80% of their total usage and for 20% of people, the car needs are different. Today you may need a van, tomorrow an offroader – the need for a different car can arise anywhere in Finland. Biila Go is the only national service able to meet this challenge with thousands of drivers from the southernmost tip to northernmost municipality. With their large fleet, Europcar is thus always able to offer the customer the most suitable vehicle for their needs.

The collaboration, which started in April 2021, has taken off and Biila Go drivers have been relocating Europcar cars all over Finland.

”Biila is willing to tailor the service to suit our business”, says Vainio.

In the first months of the partnership, several different models have been piloted to serve existing and new customers in a more versatile and cost-effective way.

"Biila Go met the cost challenge of paying just for the service and nothing else. For example, we have even halved the cost of medium-length relocations compared to what it was before," says Vainio.

Biila Go Sales Director Sami Soikkeli is also very happy with the collaboration.

”This cooperation with Europcar is very important to Biila.”

Mr. Soikkeli praises Europcar's staff in particular for their full commitment to the partnership.

"I have noticed that we have similar thoughts about the future of mobility with Europcar. It helps both companies to reach their own goals.”
